Project Details – RSWAN :
• As a part of the overall initiatives of e-Governance, Government of Rajasthan (GoR) proposes to Setup a Rajasthan State Wide Area Network (RajSWAN) to establish the communication infrastructure with an aim to improve the administrative efficiency and effectiveness.
• Thus, improving the quality of service to common man.
• The SWAN (State Wide Area Network) is designed to deliver quality services to citizens, especially in rural areas, in the state of Rajasthan, We will supply, configure,and install the required hardware for network and will also operate SWAN on BOOT basis for the period of 5 years.
• RajSWAN will have a suitable topology, using state-of-art technologies and have flexibility to expand / upgrade to cover all parts of the state.
• Through implementing RajSWAN, the GoR wishes to achieve the following:
- To provide reliable vertical and horizontal communication corridor within the state administration to make Government more productive and compatible for electronic transactions.
- To achieve e-Governance commitment and bring governance closure to public.
