1.Introduction about the company

     The genesis of Escorts goes back to 1944 when two brothers, Mr. H. P. Nanda and Mr. Yudi Nanda, launched a small agency house, Escorts Agents Ltd. in Lahore

   In 1960,Escorts set up the strategic Agri Machinery Group (AMG) to venture into tractors.

   In 1965,they rolled out first batch of tractor under the brand name of Escorts.

   In 1969, a separate company, Escorts tractors Ltd., was established with equity partition of Ford Motor Co., Basildon, UK for the manufacture of the Ford agricultural tractors in India.

   In 1996 Escorts Ltd. Formally merged with the parent company,Escort’s Ltd.

2.ENGINE ASSEMBLY
   Engine assembly is a unit which produces power for the running of the tractor unit and various components attached to the unit.
 

3.Engine assembly is completed in various stages, in which we will discuss about various components/parts attached to the assembly and there usage/function.

7.Pre-stroke:-At this stage of assembly nothing is attached to the assembly but the timing of fuel injection is done. This timing mainly depends on the no. of the cylinders of the engine

8.Front cover fitment:- Front cover plate cover all the gears like timing gear, intermediate gear, cam shaft gear.

9.Water pump and pulley fitment:- Water pump is attached to the engine assembly near the cylinder head. Out put of the water pump is connected to cylinder block casting.  Pulley of the water pump is driven by the fan belt, which is driven by another pulley at the crank shaft’s end

10.Oil pan fitment:- Oil pan is fitted at the bottom/ sump face of the block, for containing the lubricating oil with mesh filter
