1.STEAM RAISING
2.FIRE TUBE BOILER
3.Check tat all works has been completed , and caried out in a satisfactory manner
Ensure tat all tools have been removed .
Check all internal pipes and fittings to see tat they are in place and properly fitted
Check blow down valve is clear

4.Fit the lower man hole door, check external boiler fittings and mountings tat they are in place
Check all blanks are removed from safety valves, blow down lines
Now fill the boiler with water to about 1quarter of the water level gauge glass
If possible fill with hot water

5.Chemical dosin can be done from the top man hole door at intial condition
Fit the top man hole door
Make sure tat the air vent is open
Start fire at lower rate
Use smaller burner tip if avaliable
By pass the air heater if fitted

6.Change the furnance every 20 minutes
After one hr start circulation of water using feed pump
If no means of circulation fire at a lower rate untill yhe boiler getting warmed up
Tis warm up below the furnace is important
If no other circulation is provided runnin or blow out some water for natural circulation

7.Continue tis water circulation for about 4 hrs6-7c of temparature must be raised for every one hour
Water temp can be measured using tat salinometer cock if water tempa below 100c
At the end of tis time set fire in all furnances still at the lower rate , close all the airvents
Nuts of man hole doors and all clsin must be tighted well

8.Circulation can be stopped and steam pressure slowly raised up during the next 7-8 hours to within the 1 bar of the workin pressur
Test the water gauges blow downin can be carried out
Boiler is now ready to put in to service
About twelve hrs should leave the boiler for complete operation if circulation provided

9.If not 18 -24 hrs required for the complete boiler operation
Because the water under the furnance ll not get tat much heat transfer
Stress has to be avioded at the circumfertial parts of the boiler
Steam raisin must be carried out slowly to avoid leakage and grooving

10.If steam rasing is done in more than 1 boiler ten use the feed pump to circulate each boiler in turn for about ten minutes
11.WATER TUBE BOILER
12.Before closing up the boiler inspect the internal surfaces to ensure they are clean
All openings to the boiler mountings are clear and tubes proved to be free of obstruction by means of search balls
Replace any internal fittings which has been removed
Ensure its position and its operation

13.Check the gas side is clear and in good workin order
Make sure the soot blowers are fitted and its movement
After all these boiler casing door is replaced
Open the direct reading water level gauge isolating cocks ,vents alarm and pr gauges

14.Close all other drains and blow down valves are closed
Commence the filling with de-aeareted water
At intial condition chemical dosing can be done from the top man hole door
Continue filling of water up to the startin level in the gauge
Close vent if water aries

15.Ensure that the forced draft fan is working in good condition
Air heaters are by-passed
Start up the fuel oil service pump and check for leaks
Use gas oil until getting steam for heating the fuel
Carry out final checks to make sure water level gauges cocks are open

16.Water showing in the gauge glass and steam drum , super haeter vents are open
Fire the boiler at lower rate
Adjust the air for good combustion at the intial rate
As the boiler heats up check the water level whether going up or not
After about one hour steam should at the drum

17.Open line for the super heater and close the vents in both steam drum and super heater
When the pr is at about 3 bar blow thru the gauge glass tis is for checking its working or not
Isolating valve for the remote level water indicating can be opened and the indicator placed in service

18.When the pr reaches 10bar check all the nuts and tightened it fully
When it reaches a bar of 14 open staem to the auxilary line
Intially open it crackly to avoid the the thermal stresses
After comin normal to the workin condition activate the fuel oil heaters , all the auxilary things

19.If circulation is ter at tis condtion we can cut off the circulation lines
When boiler reaches operating condtion make the firing steady as possible as
Check the water level alarms before start feedin more water
Open the main steam line crack for warmin up to certan period extend

20.While opening main steam line fully close the drain in the main steam line
Tis steam rasing and bring up to the parrell operation will take nearly 4-6 hrs
Only in emergency condition use it rapidly
In case of new refractory carry up tis procedure very slowly
At all the times of the rasin super heater must be circulated wth steam to prevent overheating

21.If the temparature of the super heater goes above the permitted value ten reduce the firin rate
Tis procedures are deponds upon the engineer who is designin the boiler
So tat easy proces can be obtained
